§ 12 Medical consumables

What § 12 requires
- Medical consumables are available in sufficient quantity, with a system of regular checks § 12(1).
- They are stored properly, also with regular checks § 12(2).
- Expiry dates are checked regularly so that only material within its shelf life is used § 12(3).
Under the Hygiene Regulation, expiry dates are watched from ordering and storage on, and material is stored protected from dust and moisture Hygiene-V § 20(3), (5).
What works as proof
The same checklist as for medicines (lesson 7.1), with a line for consumables: date, checked by, expired items removed, reordered.
