§ 15 Continuing medical education

Keep up CME and prove it. You meet the duty of continuing medical education and prove it to the Austrian Medical Chamber, through the Academy of Physicians.
Not in the questionnaire. The Academy of Physicians checks your CME and sends the result to ÖQMED automatically. It isn't part of the evaluation or the on-site checks.
But a condition for the certificate. The certificate is issued only if the data sent shows the CME criterion is met.

In detail

What § 15 requires

The doctor meets the duty of continuing medical education and proves it to the Austrian Medical Chamber, through the Academy of Physicians (Akademie der Ärzte GmbH) § 15.

How it's checked

The Academy of Physicians checks whether the criterion is met and sends the result to ÖQMED automatically § 27(3).
That's why § 15 isn't in the evaluation questionnaire: the questionnaires are based on §§ 4 to 14 and 16 to 26 § 27(2). CME isn't part of the evaluation and checks under §§ 30, 32 and 38 § 27(3).
It still counts for the certificate: the procedure ends with the quality certificate only if the data sent shows the CME criterion is met § 41 no. 1.

What you can do

Check your CME account with the Academy of Physicians before the evaluation starts.
If courses are still missing, plan them so the proof is in on time.

Checklist

The CME duty is met.
Your CME is recorded with the Academy of Physicians.
You know: § 15 isn't in the questionnaire, but it is a condition for the certificate.
